PathMakers to Peace 2024

The PathMakers to Peace award was established in 2013, to honor organizations and individuals who have played a leadership role in working to find non-violent resolutions to conflict. The name of our award, PathMakers to Peace, emphasizes that there are many roads to reaching the goal of a peaceful and just world.

At the 2024 PathMakers to Peace Gala on Thursday, December 5, 2024, we celebrated our 40th anniversary!  The event was held in the beautiful social hall at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Cathedral in Brooklyn Heights.  Father Dominique Hanna welcomed us. BFP Board Member Michelle Smith emcee’d the event. Charlotte Phillips and Carolyn “Rusti” Eisenberg spoke, as did Board member Greg Kalvin. Eman Rashid presented the Gaza Ceasefire Signs Campaign (GazaSigns@.gmail,com.) Christine Yvette Lewis, pioneering organizer of Domestic Workers United and recipient of the 2924 Just Brooklyn Prize, concluded the program with her magnificent voice.
