Brooklyn For Peace

Jun 3, 2023—Our BFP volunteers were out in force today at a new location with our Ukraine Peace Table. This time we set up at the busy and popular Ft. Greene Park Greenmarket. We got a great reception with quite a few folks stopping to chat and signing our petition (bit.ly/bfp-ukraine-petition) calling on our Brooklyn House Members to speak out for peace, a cease-fire and diplomacy rather than a military solution and constant escalation. Using war in the 21st century to solve these disputes is the certain route to a dangerous wider war and maybe even a nuclear conflict. Thank you to all our volunteers – you did a great job and performed a valuable service: helping to win peace in Ukraine so that lives can be saved and a wider war avoided. ★ JOIN US next Saturday at 10:30, same location: ★ Ft Greene Greenmarket – De Kalb Avenue and Washington Park (Washington Park = Cumberland Street). You can let us know if you’ll be joining us next week by emailing pej@brooklynpeace.org
