Understanding Chinese history and the history of U.S.-China relations provides the knowledge to advocate for mutually beneficial policies and diplomacy, bringing the world back from the brink and opening the way for collaborations to address the existential threats of nuclear weapons, the climate emergency, and pandemics. Professors Mark Selden and Zhiqun Zhu are uniquely qualified to share the essential histories of China and of U.S.–Chinese cooperation and competition.
