THURS: Not On Our Dime! End Funding of Israeli Settler Violence March
While Israeli state and settler violence may feel far away, many of the settlers leading the dispossession of Palestinians from their homes are funded by organizations here in New York State. These organizations masquerade as “charities” while funneling hundreds of millions of dollars to ethnic cleansing. By allowing these organizations non-profit status, and thus tax breaks, New York is subsidizing these atrocities.
That’s why a coalition of grassroots and legal organizations is supporting the
Not on Our Dime! Act. It’s the first piece of legislation supporting Palestinian freedom in New York, and the first of its kind in the US.
Join us on Thursday July 20, 6 pm in Herald Square (Broadway, 34th St, & 6th Ave, Manhattan) for a Rally and March. E-mail bfp@brooklynpeace.org if you want to meet others from BFP.
Can’t be there? Write to your New York state representatives now and ask them to co-sponsor the “Not On Our Dime!: Ending NY Funding of Israeli Settler Violence Act.”
