SUN: 2 PM – March for Rafah

The Israeli military recently launched a brutal assault on Rafah where over 1.4 million Palestinians are sheltering. Israel is also planning a ground assault.
And last month the US abruptly suspended funding to The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees in the near east (UNRWA), which delivers lifesaving aid to over 2 million Palestinians under siege in Gaza in addition to 4 million Palestinians in the region. UNRWA has stated that if funding does not resume, they will not be able to continue their life-saving measures past February. (HRW.org).
This Sunday, February 25, If Not Now is rallying to demand that Senator Schumer and President Biden resume funding for UNRWA and support an immediate ceasefire and hostage exchange. Bring noisemakers to help us ring the alarm: the U.S. must fund humanitarian aid for Gazans, not more weapons for the Israeli government.
We will meet at Grand Army Plaza (entrance to Prospect Park) and participate in a short march.
When: Sunday, February 25th at 2:00pm.
Where: Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn, NY 11238
