SAT: Hand to Hand Human Chain Connecting the Two Koreas

April 29, 2023 @ 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Again this year, the 6.15 US Committee for Reunification of Korea plans Peace in Korea supporters to meet at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza and sign everyone’s wishes with 2 flags before starting the march. We will later deliver one each of the signed flags to the South and North Korean Mission to the UN. We will march to the South Korean Mission and continue to that of North Korea in order to form a human chain. 2 Missions are 1,100 feet apart. People’s hand-to-hand chain will symbolically make 2 Koreas reunited notwithstanding the US keeps Korea divided and conquered since 1945.

We will prepare “One Korea” flags and vests printed in ‘No More War’, ‘Korea is One’, ‘Stop the War Drills’, for all participants. We need a minimum of 200 people to make the human chain connected. We welcome any ideas to bring more participants to the event. After the human chain, we will come down to Ralph Bunche Park to have happy hours singing, chanting, or dancing. We will prepare sandwiches and Gimbob (Korean seaweed roll) to refill energy before going to the subway. Participants can take the vest home as a souvenir if they like.
