Sat., March 7, at 2:00 PM: Weekly Vigil: Demand an End to U.S. War on Iran
Brooklyn For Peace is urging community members across New York City to oppose escalating U.S. aggression toward Iran and to demand diplomacy instead of war.
When: Saturday, March 7, 2PM
Where: Flatbush Ave & Hanson Pl @ Atlantic Terminal – at the LIRR entrance.
Trump promised “no more U.S. wars.” Instead, U.S. military actions have escalated across the globe. These actions raise serious concerns about violations of international law, the U.S. Constitution, and the diversion of billions of tax dollars away from urgent human needs.
We believe:
• Demand an immediate end to the illegal, unprovoked war against Iran.
• Venezuela attacks were not about drugs. It’s about U.S. military domination of the Western Hemisphere, its oil and mineral resources.
• The U.S. has tried invasion and regime change before – in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya and throughout Latin America. The result has been chaos, authoritarianism, death, suffering, and countless deaths.
• We are spending billions seeking military domination abroad. Our tax dollars should fund affordable health care, housing, child care, fighting climate change and better schools.
• We need living wages and clean energy in the U.S. homeland.
Stand with us to demand peace, accountability, and investment in our communities, not endless war.
