Peace in Ukraine: Actions & Upcoming Vigil
February 25 @ 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
UPCOMING EVENT: Join us on Saturday, February 25 from 12-1 pm under the Arch at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn for a vigil to mark one year of the war in Ukraine and call for a ceasefire & negotiations to END the war.
Let us know if you plan to join us: email bfp@brooklynpeace.org
Spread the word about the event on Facebook.
Last week, the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists announced that the Doomsday Clock is now at 90 seconds to midnight – the closest that we have ever been to the end of humanity. The Bulletin highlighted that this is due “largely but not exclusively to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the increased risk of nuclear escalation.”
TAKE ACTION: Sign our petition to Congress: the United States MUST proactively support a ceasefire and negotiations.
GET INVOLVED: Find out who represents you in Congress. Our elected officials respond when they know their constituents are paying attention. Email us at bfp@brooklynpeace.org to let us know who represents you and to get involved in our advocacy.
The antiwar movement needs to be urgently mobilized here in the US, in Europe, and worldwide. Brooklyn For Peace is calling for a ceasefire and diplomacy in Ukraine. See BFP Statement on Ukraine.
