Moral March on Washington and to the Polls
June 18 @ 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Mass Poor People’s & Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly
Sat. June 18 is the Mass Poor People and Low Wage Workers’ Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls! This will be a generationally transformative gathering of poor and low wealth people, state leaders, faith communities, moral allies, unions and partnering organizations. Together we are building power for an agenda that lifts all people by challenging the interlocking injustices of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, militarism and the war economy, and the false moral narrative of religious nationalism.
Brooklyn For Peace, with United for Peace and Justice, is proud to be an organizing partner with The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival!
Book your ride on bus from Brooklyn here. All who are able to cover the cost of their seat are encouraged to do so, but thanks to generous contributions, the NYS PPC is able to subsidize the cost of bus seats and food for those who need it. Do not let a lack of funds keep you from attending – we need YOU to #MeetUsInDC on June 18! Lower-cost or free tickets may still be available. Sign up now using this form. To keep everybody as safe as possible, proof of vaccination for COVID-19 will be required, as well as wearing a mask while on the bus. Info on other buses is available here.
Info on meeting location for BFP in Washington will be posted in the week prior to June 18. Email us at email@example.com if you’re planning to be there so that we send you more specific information.
