55 Years Later: Will The Church Study War No More (at Home + Abroad)?
Mark the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “Beyond Vietnam” speech in the place where he delivered it fifty-five years ago – the historic Riverside Church. Explore the connections Dr. King made in that speech between the “three evils” of militarism, racism, and poverty and their impact on Black lives a half century later. We’ll look at the road from Iraq to Ferguson and now to Ukraine and talk about how the Church and the American people can overcome the forces of war and violence to build a more peaceful and just nation and planet.

Location: Riverside Church, 490 Riverside Drive, Manhattan
