Honor the Lives of the Victims of Atlanta Shootings!

March 26 @ 4:00 AM 1:00 PM

On Friday, March 26 join Asian Pacific Islander American Vote (APIAVote) for a Day of Action on social media to support the #StopAsianHate movement. Take a stand! Speak up by posting a statement condemning hateful attacks against AAPIs. Fight DiscriminAsian! Take a Stand HERE. Friday, March 26 is the 230th Anniversary of when the Naturalization Act of 1790 went into effect.

We mourn the lives of the 8 people, 6 of whom were Asian women, who were violently murdered. We do not need an official hate crime designation to recognize the difference between “having a bad day” and violence at the hands of white supremacy and misogyny. We mourn Delaina Ashley Yaun, Paul Andre Michels, Xiaojie Tan, Daoyou Feng, Julie Park, Park Hyeon Jeong and two other individuals whose names we do not yet know. Read the statement written by Emily Rubino, proud Asian woman and Executive Director of Peace Action New York State in the wake of the shootings which took the lives of 8 people, 6 of whom were Asian Americans, in Atlanta, Georgia.  Read the complete statement HERE.
