Brooklyn Mobilization Meeting
May 24, 2022 @ 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
The New York State Poor People’s Campaign is organizing a powerful delegation of poor and low-wealth people and allies for the Poor People’s and Low Wage Workers’ Mass Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls on June 18! We march on June 18 because any nation that ignores nearly half of its citizens is in a moral, economic and political crisis. The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival is a broad-based campaign to combat systemic racism, poverty and inequality, ecological devastation, militarism and the war economy. Brooklyn For Peace supports these goals as well as the PPC’s commitment to education, organization, mobilization and nonviolence.
Brooklyn for Peace and the PPC are organizing Brooklyn-based organizations and faith communities to build solidarity and get on a bus or buses leaving from Brooklyn. Information and details regarding this mobilization will be discussed at the Brooklyn Mobilization Meeting on Tuesday May 24 at 7:00 pm on Zoom. Please join us and learn how you and your community can participate!
