Armistice Day

Armistice Day was founded after World War I as “a day to be dedicated to the cause of world peace and to be thereafter celebrated.” After World War II Armistice Day became Veterans Day, a day for honoring militarism and war.
2-3 pm: Join Bay Ridge Peace Action at 86th St & 4th Ave, Brooklyn, to distribute flyers and white poppies.
