The United States justified its war against Iraq on the grounds that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction and presented an imminent threat to the United States.
No such weapons were found during the war; none have been found since. Our leaders’ assurances that weapons of mass destruction exist and will be found ring increasingly hollow.
Here are some actions you can take:
Sign a petition calling for an independent inquiry into why we went to war against Iraq.
Contact your congressional representatives to ask them to support HR 2625 and H. Res. 307. Tell them they owe it to us to demand an independent investigation.
Urge the media to cover the issue of weapons of mass destruction and government lies thoroughly and critically. Write letters to the editors, call or email to major newspapers and TV news programs.
